You want to view as much sunlight as you can in the morning in order to make you more alert, and you want to avoid viewing bright light in the evening when it is time to go to sleep.
You want to expose your vision to atleast 100,000 lux of light in the morning before 9AM. The mechanism of circadian clock setting sends signals to your eyes when you view bright light.
Avoid trying to get bright light exposure in the afternoon, which is considered the circadian dead zone and bright light does not have an effect on setting your circadian rhythm.
