What You Can Do To Prevent Alzheimer’s

Part of the fear around Alzheimers is that there is nothing we can do about it, despite decades of research, we still have no disease-modifying treatment and no cure. So if we’re lucky enough to live well into our 80’s and 90’s, Alzheimers seems to be our brains destiny.

What if you could change your brain’s destiny?..

Most scientists believe that Alzheimers is the result of too much Amyloid Beta building up in our brain tissue. When this build up occurs, the amyloid beta begins to form sticky aggregates called amyloid plaques.

How can we keep amyloid plaque from reaching a tipping point?

Our DNA alone does not determine if we get alzheimers. The way we live influences the accumulation of amyloid plaques. Deep sleep is like a power cleanse for the brain. Pour sleep hygiene may be a big contributor to amyloid beta build up. Aerobic exercise has been seen to really help to prevent Alzeimhers. Engaging regularly in mentally stimulating activities can also prevent the onset of Alzheimers.
